FCC Child Care Center

First Christian Church Child Care Center (FCCCCC) has been a community outreach ministry of First Christian Church since 1972. FCCCCC is a Christian center and non-profit organization funded solely through tuition. FCCCCC is contracted with SRS to accept child care voucher payments.

The professional staff of FCCCCC provides full time child care in a safe and loving environment where children and parents are respected. A non-denominational Christian curriculum is provided in each classroom. FCCCCC offers planned group and individual activities that emphasize art, music, science, language development, number concepts, field trips and quiet time.

FCCCCC is licensed by the state of Kansas to care for 147 children age 6 weeks to 13 years. During the school year, before and after school care is provided for children who attend these elementary schools: Most Pure Heart of Mary, Whitson, Randolph and McCarter. Full-time summer camp is provided for children from 6 to 13 years of age.

FCCCCC staff, in conjunction with the Child Care Council, strives to meet the following objectives:

bullet

Allow each child to grow at his or her own rate physically, socially and emotionally.

bullet

Create a desire to attend school

bullet

Create an environment that promotes positive relationships between teachers, children and parent

bullet

Aid children in development of oral language for expression of thoughts and feelings

bullet

Provide opportunities that develop an awareness of people and things beyond his or her own neighborhood and aid in social development

bullet

bullet
