Serving

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” -  John 15:12-13

In the New Testament, love is used often as an action verb to define the life of a follower of Jesus Christ. When we love others, we seek their spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual wellbeing. Loving others involves serving others. Service is an important part of the life of discipleship. We encourage everyone to find a way to participate in serving others. There are opportunities to serve our neighbors through our monthly mobile food pantry, weekly sack lunch ministry, or on a Sunday Servant Team.
